If you have a suggestion or an idea, please let me know. There are times when I get so wrapped up in something I fail to see that there are other avenues I haven't taken. So drop me a line.

Well many things have happened since I built my first website. Or rather my first BBS. That was many years ago and yet I am still very much intregued with how it all works. While I like a little privacy, most people who know me will tell you that I am a bit different. Hopefully in a good way.

I was born in Las Vegas, New Mexico in 1959 and am a native New Mexican although by looking at me you would never tell. By listening you would never know I was from New Mexico either. What's the deal with the AH2AZ?? Good question and an interesting answer. I was first licensed as a Novice class in 1981 and received the call sign KA6VBI. My moniker was King Alfreds Sixth Very Bright Individual. Well at the time I thought it was cute. The story on HOW I managed to get my license is another story for another time. During this period, I was stationed in San Diego California at the Navel Training Center. I took bootcamp there and Radioman "A" school and somehow managed to flunk out of IMCO (International Morse Code School). So when I took my movice exam I had 16 wpm under my belt and the 5 wpm morse was so boring. But I managed to pass the test in only the first sitting. I then was assigned to the USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63) in dry dock at Bremerton Washington. I took my technician test once and passed. Not a problem there. But my General was a killer. 13 wpm morse was no longer my friend and I kept failing that twice more. The written exam eluded me once more. The Advanced Class I actually nailed it on the first try. And it was also known as the hardest test for the class. You still had to pass the 13 wpm morse but I had done that earlier and didn't need a retest. By this time it had been only three weeks since I had been a General class but circumstanses dictated that I was actually going to Ft Wayne Indiana then to Ft. Gordon Georgia. Then wisk on a plane over the ocean to a wonderful island get-away called Guam. Now this is where I get the AH2AZ call sign. I do not know how I managed to get the last sequence in the advanced class 2X2 but I did. I spent a fair amount of time on Guam, then Exmouth Western Australia where I held VK6VZ (I still have the original license issued to me) for about 16 months. I returned to state side and have migrated through several states till I came to rest in Hobbs, New Mexico. Ok I cheated and made the story shorter. But those stories are going to come back to haunt me and in a great way. Over the years I have made many friends and I have lost many friends due to that final step of mortality. I often wish or maybe hope that they have found the great DX in the sky and are just too busy to let us living folks know what to expect. Ok so there is a bit of wishful thinking there. And here is where I will stop and gather yet another assortment of thought and recollections to entertain you with.
